$180 orthopedic bed vs $40 Costco — any difference for a 9yo Lab?

Milo sleeps on a thin bed in our room and a Costco plush in the living room. Considering Big Barker / similar for joints. Did you see actual mobility difference or is it mostly us feeling better? He's on joint supplement already.
